Our favorite thing at the library was the life size chess set on the roof. The kids wanted to play a full game but we didn’t have enough time.
Honestly, it was kind of hard to play. The new perspective made it more challenging.
The entrance to the children’s library captivated our kid’s imagination. The children’s library contains the typical stuff but does have a very large story area.
What you don’t want to miss is the Vault in the lower basement level. The button in the elevator for this level is a V (for vault).
Why is there a giant vault in the basement of a library? Because the library is housed in the old First National Bank building and is rich with history.
Ask a staff member about the vents that used to hide security guards.
The library is large with many unique displays.
The parking garage was easy to access and free with parking validation from a staff member in the library.
