Don’t be confused! This gorgeous gazebo and landscaping are part of the experience at the Courtyard by Marriott, which hosted our Roseville Minnesota tour.
We were invited, along with a fabulous group of Midwest Travel Bloggers, to enjoy all that the Twin Cities have to offer through the helpful folks at the Roseville Visitors Association.
Our group had a blast at the Minnesota State Fair! Even in the rain.

Why Roseville
Roseville is just 10 minutes from both downtown Saint Paul and downtown Minneapolis, so you can really enjoy the best of both!
Your family won’t want to miss these Six Family Fun Things To Do in the Twin Cities.
Courtyard By Marriott is among the eleven hotels (all with free parking) in Roseville. Named for the beautiful landscaping, walking paths, and courtyard, it’s easy to relax on the patio at the Courtyard By Marriott.
Courtyard
The outdoor courtyard and patio are highlighted through large glass windows in the indoor pool and whirlpool, fitness center, and lobby. Several doors create easy access to the beautiful setting. Just bring your room key along for the secure entry doors.
Accommodations
The Courtyard By Marriott didn’t skimp on space. These rooms are spacious and easy to move around in.
There is plenty of storage for all your family’s luggage and belongings, including a closet.
I noticed the extra walking space for the bed along the wall (bed on the right). You know what I am talking about. There is always the one bed in a hotel room that shares the wall with the bathroom and you are seriously wondering how the housekeeping staff ever even fit down that side to change the sheets!
The bathroom is just as spacious with lots of room. The vanity is separate from the shower stall and stool. The king suites offer a double vanity.
A front desk safe is available upon request for valuable items.
Balcony
Several of the 120 guest rooms include a balcony. The balcony extends the living space.
Our children moved the patio furniture out of the way to practice their Tae Kwon Do.
At the end of a busy day of touring, it was pleasant to have the extra space to spread out.
Meals
Each guest room includes a mini-fridge. For families eating or making their own food in their room, a microwave is available upon request.
As part of our group tour, we enjoyed a catered breakfast in the Rose room.
If you are traveling with a group, chat with the hotel about meal options.
The Bistro To Go in the lobby offers Starbucks coffee and breakfast.
On the weekends, dinner options are available including (at the time of our visit) Flatbread Pizza ($7.50), Kids Meal ($4.50), Cheeseburger ($8), and Chicken Ciabatta Sandwich ($8.50).
Extras
Upon the return of our fun day exploring the Minnesota State Fair, we were greeted by towel animals in our room.
The children were delighted and we, parents, were not allowed to take apart the creations.
Throughout our stay, the staff was friendly. The hotel was quiet and comfortable despite being a busy tourist weekend with the state fair going on just a short distance away. The beds were plush and we slept great, even with our poor girl catching a cold.
We would highly recommend the Courtyard By Marriott for family leisure or business travel.

The Twin Cities in Minnesota are fantastic to visit.
With unique attractions like Can Can Wonderland, amazing animal encounters at the Como Park Zoo, and a six-level science museum, the Twin Cities are worth more than a few days exploring.
North Shore
The North Shore makes the perfect weekend or week-long family trip! In addition to the stunning state parks, and trekking the Superior Hiking Trail with kids, there are cozy cabins, and more fun to be found.
A Weekend Guide to the North Shore with Kids will help you plan the rest of your stay.
