We were impressed with this obviously popular park. There was a wedding party taking photographs, a family reunion and visitors of all ages. Winterset-City-Park-hedge-maze

After Clark Tower, our favorite part of Winterset City Park was the hedge maze. Chasing daddy through the maze increased the children’s joy and this activity was repeated multiple times.

The kids also chased daddy on the playground and through the expansive lawn.

The park is full of history and it was fun exploring all the monuments and historic exhibits.

Ok, so maybe it doesn’t take much to entertain me…but I was fascinated with this old iron drinking fountain. You push the pedal to make the water come. It was beautiful and unique, just like the Winterset City Park! You can find this drinking fountain by the iron gates leading into the hedge maze.

Don’t forget to stop at the town square and Cedar Covered Bridge when you are visiting!
