New in Iowa in 2021
Need some help coming up with ideas for your printable travel planning sheet? Catch the Chicago White Sox and New York Yankees game at the Field of Dreams movie site in August or groove out at the newly transformed Highlander Hotel in Iowa City.
Watch for the all-new Lauridsen Skatepark, one of the largest in the nation, to open in Des Moines this spring. Just off I80, at the Amana Colonies, is the brand new Hotel Millwright. This hotel is a destination in and of itself and will host mill tours.
We were able to visit several new places last year before all of the restirctions. Make sure to add these awesome Iowa locations on your printable travel planning sheet!
Hansen’s Dairy Farm in Husdon is the perfect stop to learn about cows and pet kangaroos. That’s right! Up close and personal with these hopping friends.
Hansen’s Dairy is a 7th generation, a 150-year-old working dairy farm in eastern Iowa just south of Cedar Falls. They take pride in providing high-quality wholesome food products and offering educational opportunities.
Wickiup Hill Learning Center, also located near Cedar Rapids, is a free (or small fee), a nature-focused gem that is comparable to a well-deigned children’s museum. Plan for several hours.
You’re sure to find new and exciting things no matter where you are traveling in Iowa this year. Grab a planning sheet and look forward to a fabulous 2021. Happy New Year!
I love your planning sheet! Tuesday, January 26, 2021 is National Plan for Vacation Day. This will be a great tool.
How fun! I never play attention to holidays. Silly me. But January is a great time to plan summer trips! Happy Planning
Great Post!!! I love the idea of the Hotel Millwright in the Amana Colonies – fantastic!
I am hoping we can stop and see the mill later this summer! A unique opportunity in Iowa!
